Location: The Riviera, Santa Barbara Ca.
Description: The client purchased the property for the incredible ocean views and planned on tearing down the existing dated house. As time went by they got to know the property better and found that an area on the hillside above had better views and more privacy, what to do? We advised why not convert the existing house into a rental unit and build a new home on the best location on the site? After some analysis and preliminary design studies the decision was made to move ahead. We designed an open warm modern home that is made to take in the views while providing privacy when it is wanted.
